The McKendree United Methodist Church Day Care is located at 520 Commerce Street, across from the Convention Center, in the church’s Christian Life Center, in the heart of downtown Nashville. |

The center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
It is a five-day-a-week, year-round program. |

| Who We Serve: |
We offer care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Our program is open to the community; many of our families work in the downtown area and therefore parents are often able to visit during the day. We welcome parent involvement and pride ourselves on having a warm, caring, and inclusive community for children, families and staff. |

| About Our Program: |
McKendree is licensed through the Tennessee Department of Human Services and has a Three Star Rating – the  highest possible. Ours is a developmentally appropriate program designed to meet the diverse needs of young children. We value play, warm and reciprocal relationships, discovery and joy. Caregivers/teachers intentionally plan the environment, schedule, activities and interactions to respond to children’s individual needs while paying careful attention to developing daily experiences that are child-centered and appropriate for enhancing emotional, social, cognitive, physical and cultural development. We want children to be safe, healthy, happy, challenged, and loved.

| About Our Staff: |
The center director, Cindy Lea Ligon, has been with the program since its beginning in 1990. Cindy is a Child Development Specialist with a degree in Child and Family Studies and loves her work with caregivers, families, and children. The caregivers/teachers are also trained in child development and have specialized knowledge in early education as well as personal qualities that assure warm and positive relationships with children and adults.

| Enrollment Information: |
Childcare fees are as follows by age group:
- Infant – $195/week or $838/month
- Toddler – $175/week or $752/month
- Preschool – $165/week or $709/month
The center typically has a waiting list for openings. Prospective parents are encouraged to contact the director at 271-2620 for enrollment information and/or to arrange a tour of the program. An initial visit, completion of an application form, and a deposit are required before families are placed on the waiting list.
